Maria Castillo

flanker, hooker

"Living in Denver, coaching Black Ice Womens Rugby Team, snow boarding, Mountain Biking-just did 24hrs of Moab- and hope to do three or more 24hr. races in 2003! Also selling Real Estate."

Peg Davis
Atlanta Harlequins, 1987-1993
Back, Flanker, Prop

"After 13 years of rugby - the last five hooking for Richmond WRFC in England - I am now a recovering rugby-holic living with my gorgeous, personal private nurse in Phoenix, where I am Deputy IT Director for the City of Phoenix. I avoid pressure on my joints and spine by playing softball, swimming in my pool, and saving rugby for my dreams, where I am always fast, never tired, making crushing tackles, and scoring numerous tries."

Michelle Maloy
Atlanta Harlequins, 1999-2001
wing, second row, 8

"I am living in St. Petersburg, FL and working on a project in Turino, Italy. Unfortunately, I no longer play rugby but I continue to sail and scuba dive in Florida and travelling around Italy."

Theresa Pitts-Singer
Atlanta Harlequins, 1989-1996
prop, lock

"I started playing at Vanderbilt where I was on the team from 1982-1985. After graduation, I picked up games and served as an officer for the Nashville Men's Rugby Club until I went to graduate school.

I played for Atlanta Harlequins from 1989-1996 while a graduate student at UGA. I played prop and lock. I was Co-Captain with Karla Beany for one year, and was a foward selector a couple of seasons. Then I played for the Ozark Ladies in Little Rock from 1996-1997 and captained their team in the winter season of 1997.

I came back to UGA and helped to (re)start UGA Women's Rugby in 1998. I also married James Pitts in 1998. I coached that team (playing a little) until I left in 2000. I moved to Little Rock again to be an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas, and was able to fit in a few games around a crazy work schedule.

Now I live in Logan, Utah and work on the campus of Utah State University where I am a USDA research entomologist and study bees. There is a Utah State University Women's Rugby team, but they are saturated with coaches, leaving me yearning for a team to help mentor (or even play for)."

Ingrid Ritter
Atlanta Harlequins, 2000
wing, flanker

"I only played with the Harlequins for one season (my rookie season), but what a great team to get started with!. I now live in Denver, CO where I played with Black Ice WRFC for 3 more years. I am now taking a break and enjoying cycling, mountainbiking, snowboarding, and the great Colorado outdoors!"
